Author Sam Lubell Explores NY/Tri-State Highlights
Take a road trip with prominent architectural journalist Sam Lubell who will share his insights into celebrated and lesser known Modern architecture destinations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut described in his book “Mid-Century Modern Architecture Travel Guide: East Coast USA,” recently published by Phaidon. Lubell documented more than 250 buildings, including works of internationally recognized Modern architects such as Mies van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Eero Saarinen, and Philip Johnson.
Sam Lubell has written eight books about architecture, including California Captured and Mid-Century Modern Architecture Travel Guide: West Coast USA, both from Phaidon. He is a Contributing Editor at The Architect’s Newspaper and writes for The New York Times, Wallpaper, Dwell, Wired, The Los Angeles Times, The Atlantic, Architectural Record, Architect Magazine, Contract, Architectural Review and other publications.
